World War II-style Physical Fitness

Spc. Darnell Hines, an infantryman with B Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, executes a World War II-style Army sit-up March 20 at the Fort Hood Air Assault obstacle course. Hines, an Oklahoma City, Okla. native, was participating in the 2014 Fort Hood Best Team Competition, which tests each team’s strength, wit and cohesiveness through a series of events which include: a World War II Army physical fitness test, obstacle course, four-mile road march, M9 stress shoot, assembly of an M2 machine gun, filling out a range card, setting up a claymore mine and a night land navigation course. A total of five teams competed in this year’s event. (U.S. Army Photo by Sgt. Samuel Northrup, 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
