Guest speaker Dr. Dorothy E. King spoke on the theme of celebrating women of character, courage, and commitment. King is an assistant professor of sociology at Penn State Harrisburg. Her academic interests center on multiculturalism, African-American families during the Civil War, and the use of theater as a tool for social action.
