A photo of Silas "Si" Duncan III while he was a Sgt. 1st Class, circa 1969, sits on a table at his home in Killeen. Duncan had an extraordinary career in the Army. He worked in the White House under Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, for generals including Bradley, William Childs Westmoreland, and Creighton Abrams, and in the enlisted, officer and warrant officer ranks.
