Maj. Gen. Darrell K. Williams, commanding general of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, offers encouraging remarks at the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) transfer of authority ceremony March 6, 2014 at the Zone 1 Chapel on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The transfer of authority ceremony marks the official transition of leadership from Detachment 6 to Detachment 7, commanded by Col. Lisa L. Doumont and Command Sgt. Maj. Leroy Benavidez. Many Army leaders from fellow commands and subordinate units attended the event, and all gathered after the ceremony at the 452nd Combat Support Hospital for refreshments and camaraderie.
