Friends, well-wishers, and fellow sergeants major line up to congratulate newly promoted Command Sgt. Maj. Rocky Carr (center), currently the operations sergeant major for the 8th Theater Sustainment Command and a native of Harrells, N.C., Feb. 25, during his promotion ceremony, on Historic Palm Circle, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
Rocky will soon head to the 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, located at Fort Hood, Texas. to become the unit's command sergeant major.
