Petty Officer 1st Class, Franklyn Tamarez, of Underwater Construction Team-1, Naval Expeditionary Combat Command, from Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia Beach, Va., conducts underwater training around the sunken USNS Vandenberg in about 90 feet waters off the coast of Key West, Feb. 8. The U.S. Army Landing Craft Utility-New Orleans, crewed by the 824th Transportation Company (Heavy Boat), 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), provided the diving platform for the divers in a joint training mission to conduct annual underwater diver qualification training.
