Staff Sgt. Jackson Bleckley and Staff Sgt. Candice Boykin, both assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, fill out serviceable tags with expiration dates and lot numbers of modules inside individual first aid kits, Sept. 19, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Once a week, volunteers recertify about 1,200 IFAKs to make sure the items inside are current so they can be used in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. Sgt. Bleckley, a native of Boston, Mass., is deployed from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. and Sgt. Boykin, a native of Chicago, Ill., is deployed from Brooks City Base, Texas, supporting Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
