Marine Corps assets are loaded onto an Army landing craft utility by soldiers, assigned to 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade, from Fort Eustis, Va., Jan. 24 at White Beach Naval Base, Okinawa, Japan, during port operations for Pacific Utilities and Logistics Support Enablers – Watercraft exercise. This represents the first time U.S. Army watercraft assets will be used in support of exercises Cobra Gold and Balikatan for an extended period of time with a projected savings of $5 million in shipping costs.
