Airmen from the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron prepare to stablilize the tail of a KC-135 Stratotanker during a fin fold on at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Feb. 13, 2014. A fin fold process consists of folding the tail of an aircraft and replacing a damaged rudder. The 379th EMXS Aero Repair shop is the first of three shops the Stratotanker will see before it can begin operational tests. Once operations tests are complete the KC-135 Stratotanker is assigned to the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron and will resume flying missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
