Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Warrant Officer Moriwaki Yoshiaki, Camp Sapporo command sergeant major, inspects a miniature model of the U.S. Navy Seabee's famous "Fighting Bee," Jan. 30, 2014. The 2014 Navy Misawa Snow Team is attempting to build a frosty, 3-D version of the model from a 6-foot-by-6-foot block of compressed snow. The sculpture is for the 65th annual Sapporo Snow Festival, which takes place on Japan's Hokkaido Island. This is the 31st year that Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant commands have sent a delegation of sailors to the festival to create a sculpture and to serve as U.S. Navy goodwill ambassadors. Camp Sapporo hosts the team during their visit each year and allows them to lodge on board their installation, while in Hokkaido.
