13th SC(E) soldiers depart for Sinai Peninsula

Soldiers from the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) board busses bound for the Dallas/Fort Worth airport Jan. 16 as they deploy in support of the Multinational Force and Observer mission in the Sinai Peninsula. During their scheduled nine-month deployment, the approximately 50 soldiers will provide command, control, administration, and logistics support to the 1st Support Battalion, as well as the entire MFO.

Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 13th SC(E), earned the streamer with 91 percent of the unit completing the run.
  • Soldiers from the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary); based at Fort Hood; Texas; stand at ease during a transfer of authority ceremony at Logistical Support Area Anaconda. 13th SC(E) replaced the 3rd Corps Support Command for corps-level logistical support.
  • Capt. Jason Nunnery, commander, B Co., 15th BTB, 15th SB, 13th SC(E), checks on his Soldiers progress by radio.  The Manning, S.C. native built the unit from the ground up in less than 12 months for its deployment to Iraq.
