13th SC(E) soldiers depart for Sinai Peninsula

The cities of Belton and Temple have a long-standing partnership with the 13th SC(E) and its soldiers.

The 13th SC(E), 4th Sustainment Brigade and Belton have been partners for a long time, mutually supporting each other during various events and celebrations, and soldiers visiting several Belton schools through the Adopt-A-School program.

Soldiers participated in various projects in Belton, and they often interact with schools in the Belton Independent School District, the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and the Christan Youth Center.

Monika Comeaux, the public affairs officer for the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), presents Elaine Murray the director of the Belton Senior Activity Center with a certificate of appreciation Aug. 8 at the center in Belton, Texas. The Citizens for Soldiers group at the senior center sends care packages and prayer cards to deployed Soldiers. The certificate of appreciation serves as a small token of thanks for all the support the 13th SC(E) received from the center during their last deployment to Afghanistan.
  • Brig. Gen. Clark W. LeMasters, the commander of the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) gives a speech during the Patriot Plaza rededication ceremony in Belton, Texas, Nov 8. His unit and the City of Belton have been partnered for decades. After the ceremony, as a surprise, members of the Belton Chamber of Commerce gifted the giant U.S. flag that was first flown at Patriot Plaza to the command team of the 13th SC(E).
