A soldier, assigned as guardian angel with 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Infantry Division, provide security during a recent official visit to the Orgun-E, a former U.S. forward operating base in Paktika province, Afghanistan. The 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment is currently assigned to the 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, which provides guardian angels for the Security Force Advise Assist Teams deployed as part of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team's advise and assist mission.
