3/6 Marines, sailors lend a helping hand

Marines and sailors with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, sort food during a community relations project with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, in Greenville, N.C., December 17, 2013. “It was turned into a competition of who can break the boxes down and get the boxes sorted the fastest,” said Navy Lt. Reginald E. Jones, the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment chaplain, and native of DeSoto, Texas. “We were packing so fast that they wanted us to go to lunch so they can catch up. We probably did a week’s worth of work in only a few hours.”
