George Washington is transiting off the coast of Southern California working on its combat operations efficiency evaluation with Carrier Air Wing 5. George Washington is en route to Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace USS Kitty Hawk as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
