Loggins, along with crewmembers from Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston went on an early evening area familiarization ride of Lake Texoma prior to the official start of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, May 23 - 25, the Coast Guard will have boat crews on Lake Texoma to enforce recreational and commercial safety regulations.  They will also work with state and local law enforcement agencies to ensure recreational boaters have the appropriate safety gear and are obeying all state and federal regulations.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston had an active duty boat crew patrolling Lake Texoma this Memorial Day  weekend, in conjunction with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  This is the third consecutive year this operation has occurred.  The U.S. Coast Guard will also work with state and local law enforcement agencies to ensure all recreational boaters operate in a safe manner and have the appropriate safety gear.
