Beating Stress the Artistic Way

This photo of a Cuban Pygmy Owl was taken by Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Marty Parsons in May 2008 across from the Naval Station's Tierra Kay housing complex. It took two weeks for Parsons, assigned to Joint Task Force Guantanamo, to capture this photo and this type of owl is unique in that it is only as tall as someone's hand. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
