CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. - Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads pollution response personnel and Assateague Island National Park Service personnel survey salvage operations and ensure no pollution is coming to the island Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2009. The Coast Guard worked with contractors to ensure approximately 9,500 gallons of diesel was safely removed from the grounded Frieda Marie.
