Two F/18-A++ take off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam during Exercise Forager Fury II Dec. 6. During FFII, MAW aviation units are able to practice, train for, and execute the six functions of Marine aviation: assault support, anti-aircraft warfare, offensive air support, electronic warfare, control of aircraft and missiles, and aerial reconnaissance. The F/18s are with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 112, “The Cowboys”, Marine Aircraft Group 41 currently assigned to MAG-12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program. VMFA-112 is a reserve squadron from Fort Worth, Texas.
