Command Sgt. Maj. John F. Sampa of Katy, Texas, stands with Command Sgt. Maj. Wilson Early, 36th Infantry Division (left), and Maj. Gen. James K. Sampa will serve as the senior enlisted adviser to more than 14,000 Texas soldiers. Sampa lives with his wife, Carlette, and two children, John and Julia. Sampa’s parents, Gevese and Louise Sampa, also reside in Katy.
