Brig. Gen. Steven R. Rudder flies in an EA-6B Prowler while visiting Marines participating in Exercise Forager Fury II at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 4. Rudder is the commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. During this training, MAW aviation units are able to practice, train for, and execute the six functions of Marine aviation: assault support, anti-aircraft warfare, offensive air support, electronic warfare, control of aircraft and missiles, and aerial reconnaissance. The aircraft is with the “Death Jesters,” Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 2 is currently assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st MAW, III MEF, under the unit deployment program.
