Maj. Shanelle Porter, Adjutant for Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., and Sgt. Henry Martin, recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Substation New Orleans, motivate a Bayou Classic fan during the Bayou Classic Fan Festival in the Champions Square outside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La., Nov. 30, 2013. The Marines' recruiting booth and chin-up challenge drew large crowds throughout the day as Bayou Classic spectators set up a recruiting booth to talk to hundreds of Bayou Classic fans in order to promote awareness for career opportunities in the Marine Corps. For 39 years, the Bayou Classic has showcased the long-standing intrastate rivalry between the Southern University Jaguars and the Grambling State University Tigers. The United States Marine Corps has been a partner of the Bayou Classic for 13 consecutive years in celebration of the hard work, courage, and commitment to excellence exhibited by its many participants.
