  • Senior non-commissioned officers and leaders of the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, receive deployment instructions prior to entering the Kelley Hill Recreation Center, Fort Benning, Ga., June 11. Roughly half of the Sledgehammer Brigade's soldiers are deploying to Kuwait for nine months in support of U.S. Central Command. Third Brigade will conduct training and joint exercises with their Kuwaiti counterparts and support ongoing military-to-military partnerships with Kuwait and other nations in the region.
