Joe Delacruz, the Tinian Mayor’s Office senior policy advisor, pays respect to the U.S. flag during a Veterans’ Day program and Marine Corps Birthday celebration Nov. 11 during exercise Forager Fury II. Delacruz was in charge of organizing the event with the Marines and Tinian citizens. Delacruz mentioned if it was not for the staff at the Mayor’s Office and the Marines working together, this event could not have been the huge success it was. He also mentioned the enormous impact Marines had on the Tinian Junior Senior High School Junior Officers’ Reserve Training Corps because several students inspire to become Marines.
