2013 Disaster Management Exchange opening remarks

Minister of National Defense Foreign Affairs Office RADM Li ji makes opening remarks Nov. 14 for the U.S.-China Disaster Management Exchange at Marine Corps Training Area - Bellows on Nov. 12, 2013. The DME is an annual USARPAC Security Cooperation Event with the People's Republic of China and the PLA that began in 1998. The highlight of the DME will be a Practical Field Exchangeon 14 November 2013. There will also be an Expert Academic Discussions, based on an international HA/DR scenario calling for U.S. and Chinese military cooperation to provide assistance in a fictional third country.
