Lucas Furtado, assigned to Intelligence and Security Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, watches as he gets his blood drawn at the Robertson Blood Center, at Fort Hood, Texas, Nov. 4, 2013. Lucas, a Plano, Texas, native, participated in the blood drive, which helps soldiers deployed as well as Department of Defense dependents. Robertson Blood Center conducts blood drives Monday-Friday. Eligible soldiers can donate one pint of blood every 56 days. Robertson Blood Center saw 96 donors, which resulted in 86 pints of blood and four platelet donations being collected.
