George Hopkins covers his ears as he and his father, Spc. Rian Hopkins, watch a live fire demonstration of an AH-64 Apache helicopter at an aerial gunnery range, Nov. 2. The 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, pilots qualify on their weapon systems annually, and the Wolfpack Battalion took the opportunity to host a family day at the range and show their loved ones the capabilities of an attack helicopter. Rian, who serves as a generator mechanic with the battalion, had not yet seen the Apaches in action at Fort Bragg.
