Both have been part of several other Young Marines units prior to arriving on the islands. A new unit called the Pyramid Rock Young Marines is currently recruiting military and non-military youths from 8 years old to graduation from high school or 18 years old. The Young Marines is an anti-drug program dedicated to training and teaching youth various leadership and lifeskills. There are Young Marines units worldwide. Recruitment is twice a year.   • A long line of children from the Youth and Teen Center walk to raise awareness for drug abuse during Red Ribbon Week aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Oct. 24. The children walked approximately a mile before returning the Youth and Teen Center where they received drug awareness goodie bags.
