A mound of destruction is what is left after terrorists attacks against the U.S. took place at the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, Oct. 23, 1983. A suicide bomber driving a truck rammed into the barracks with 12,000 pounds of high explosives detonating one of the largest non-nuclear bombings in history.
