A harbor seal pup, recently rehabilitated by the Progressive Animal Welfare Society Wildlife Center, swims off into open water after being released from a Coast Guard Auxiliary vessel near Everett, Wash., Sept. 25, 2013. Members of Auxiliary Flotilla-12 in Edmonds, Wash., volunteered to release the pup into the wild as part of a partnership with PAWS, a local organization headquartered in Lynnwood, Wash.
