SERE NCOs keep McConnell airmen trained

Tech. Sgt. Justin Watters, 22nd Operation Support Squadron SERE noncommissioned officer in charge, broadcasts an encrypted code with survival, evasion, resistance and escape refresher training participants Oct. 10, 2013, in Derby, Kan. This refresher course is mandatory for pilots and aircrew to complete once every three years. After the classroom session, participants evaded capture and navigated their way through the woods to specific points, including a simulated rescue point.
