Army Staff Sgt. Michael Ackley, a cable and antenna systems supervisor assigned to the 349th Signal Company, 78th Signal Battalion, locates a place to splice fiber optic wire with Sgt. Machi Mishuhiro, a microwave systems operator assigned to the 15th Brigade, Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, during training on Oct. 10th at Torii Station’s training support center. The 349th hosted about 20 Japanese soldiers during a bi-lateral event to help strengthen the relationship between American and Japanese soldiers.
