A recovery truck pulls a vehicle out of a desert wadi in southern Helmand province, Afghanistan, during a combat logistics patrol conducted by Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), Oct. 2, 2013. The soft sand inside desert wadis tests the limits of Marine logistics vehicles and their drivers as they conduct multi-day missions in isolated areas.
