A heavy drop platform is let out of the back of a KC-130J Hercules during mass supply load training Oct. 2 as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014 at Basa Air Base, Pampanga, Republic of the Philippines. During the training, Marines delivered supplies and equipment by parachute from a KC-130J Hercules aircraft, demonstrating expeditionary capabilities that could be used during humanitarian assistance and disaster relief missions. PHIBLEX 14 ensures Philippine and U.S. forces are capable of integrating effectively to conduct humanitarian assistance and regional security missions. The KC-130 is with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, which is currently part of the aviation combat element for 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force (Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
