Members of the Philippine Air Force and Marines observe an F/A-18C Hornet during aircraft recovery training, Oct. 2 as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. PHIBLEX 14 is a bilateral training exercise designed to improve interoperability and to enhance the ability for a bilateral force to respond to natural disasters or other regional contingencies. The PAF members are with the 600th Air Base Wing and the Marines are with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Wing Support Group 17, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and the F/A-18C is with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, currently attached to Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, as part of the Marine Corps’ unit deployment program.
