U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Tom C. Mulhern explains how to obtain a proper azimuth of fire to Republic of the Philippines Marine Corps and Army personnel during a mortar Sept. 19 during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014 at the Crow Valley Range Complex, Capas, Tarlac, Republic of the Philippines. The recurrence of PHIBLEX, now in its 30th iteration, demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Republic of the Philippines to mutual security and their long-time partnership. Mulhern is the executive officer of Battery A with Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
