Dill, the commanding officer of the 1st Marine Corps District, stand at the front of a formation of Marines from 1MCD, Recruiting Station New York and 6th Communications Battalion before the start of the Tunnel to Towers run Sept. 29. The Tunnel to Towers run is an annual event to remember firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life during the attacks on 9/11. More than 30,000 people run each year to honor Siller.
