The U.S. Air Force Academy's 9/11 Memorial and ceremonial wreaths are displayed after a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony was held on the Academy's terrazzo in Colorado Springs, Colo., Sept. 11, 2013. The memorial was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2011, by the USAFA class of 1976 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the attacks on our nation. The two towers represent the World Trade Center towers, the platform is the shape of the Pentagon and the beam through the center is a beam from WTC tower two. The base inscriptions include Shanksville, Pa., along with the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Mike Kaplan/Released)
