Recon Marines conduct swift, silent rescue during training

A Marine serving with Alpha Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, responds to simulated small-arms fire during a mission rehearsal exercise here, Aug. 20, 2013. The Marines searched a town for a possible hostage while battling role-playing combatants. An evaluator followed each squad of Marines and assessed their various skills including tactics, coordination and execution during the mission.
