MG O'Connor visits ROB

Bruce Cardell a nondestructive test equipment team lead and contractor with the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, Program Executive Office and a native of Lakewood, N.J., shows Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor, the commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command and Helmut Hauffe, the general manager of the Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe the process of physically testing armor plates on Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Aug. 22. The nondestructive Test Equipment Armor Inspection System is used to verify 60,000 armored plates for physical and internal defects for units in Europe. The system acts as a cost saving measure by allowing units to scan their plates in theater instead of sending them to the U.S. (Photo by Spc. Iesha Howard, 21st TSC Public Affairs)
