Last sets of eyes are first line of defenseTwelve Soldiers from 23rd Military Police Co. out of Fort Drum, New York, have completed approximately 1,500 customs clearance missions and inspected approximately 1,000 vehicles during their 270 day deployment that is nearing an end. Each inspection is completed by a three-Soldier team whose purpose is to ensure that agricultural threats and invasive species are not introduced into ecosystems in the United States. They are the last sets of eyes on equipment before it is transported to support U.S. Army mission requirements.

Soldiers fire away at gunnery
Soldiers fire away at gunnerySoldiers with 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, who are attached to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division for a nine-month rotation in the Republic of Korea, conducted a collective gunnery at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, South Korea, from June 14 to July 11. The gunnery allowed Soldiers to qualify to be certified to execute combat operations.

TF Warhawk medevac units go through TOAWhen Task Force Warhawk picked up its deployment mission at Shindand Airfield, Afghanistan in April 2014, they took on the medical evacuation capabilities of Company G, 2-135th General Support Aviation Battalion. Company G, which was originally integrated with Task Force Nightmare in January 2014, participated in a transfer of authority ceremony July 19, where they passed off their mission to Company C, 5-158th GSAB out of Germany.
