First Army helps infantry Soldiers earn expert badges
All military jobs have individual experts who are able to help the force grow stronger. For infantry Soldiers they have a historic way of determining their best. The Expert Infantry Badge is awarded to an elite few who are able to complete the testing. That’s exactly what happened as Observer Coach trainers from the 1-335th, 205th Infantry Brigade, First Army Division East, worked with National Guard and reserve Soldiers from various states as well as active duty Soldiers from multiple units during a regional EIB testes event at Camp Atterbury, IN.

First Female In Her FieldAmong a battery of men, Staff Sgt. Naomi Connelly, sticks out of the crowd as the only one with her hair in a bun. She works on the technical side of artillery but that doesn’t mean she is afraid of manual labor. The black eye she wears is a friendly reminder of the chain that smacked her in the face while loading equipment for the battery.
