On this week's Deck Watch, two Coast Guard petty officers were honored during the 37th Annual Alaska Armed Forces YMCA Salute to the Military dinner in Anchorage as the 17th District 2013 Enlisted and Reserve Enlisted Petty Officers of the Year. A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew medevaced a burn victim from the Haines Clinic in Haines, Alaska; a Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew forward deployed to Cold Bay, Alaska, medevaced a crew member from the fish processor Ocean Phoenix. The Coast Guard celebrated the 73rd anniversary of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. U.S. Coast Guard audio by 17th District Public Affairs.
