We held a U.S. Army Bloggers Roundtable with Kathy Helmick, deputy director for TBI at the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) on April 5, 2011. Helmick discussed Defense Department programs and initiatives designed to assist service members and veterans diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). She also discussed the latest news regarding TBI diagnosis, evaluation and research.

  • Chief of Staff of the Army General Raymond Odierno discusses the initiative he signed in partnership with the NFL regarding Traumatic Brain Injuries. The Army will work hand in hand with the NFL sharing research to help with treating TBI's for both the soldiers and the NFL players.
