Secretary of the Army John McHugh holds a press briefing at the U.S. Army Pacific Headquarters on Fort Shafter. He addresses several topics beginning with condolences to the Army families of four troops from Schofield Barracks in Hawaii who died in a helo crash in Kandahar, Afghanistan on August 16. Secretary McHugh also makes an announcement that U.S. Army Pacific has appointed MG Richard "Rick" Maxwell Burr of the Australian Defense Force to serve in the capacity of Deputy Commanding General commencing in early November.
