Coalition forces gathered at Camp Bastion Airfield to witness Maj. Gen.l John Toolan, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Forward, transfer authority of Regional Command Southwest to Maj. Gen. Charles Gurganus, the commanding general of 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Forward. Maj. Gen. Toolan thanked the coalition forces for their hard work as well as commended the Afghan National Security Forces for their courage and dedication.
