Talks to a FOX News reporter about Iraqi Special Forces and elements of his unit being in the middle of security operations, requested by Iraqi interim government, in and near Fallujah. This is to disrupt preparations for future terrorist attacks by insurgents. He says these attacks are directed at innocent Iraqi people. 1LT Gilbert says the operation will also ensure intimidation-free elections. The Iraqi forces are ready for this mission as they have demonstrated in numerous past missions with the Marines who trained with and by them. He says their performance has been outstanding. He calls the present mission a significant move, but not that different from what they do on a daily basis; will set the stage for Iraqis to live in freedom.
