    Excerpts from briefing given by Major General Eric Olson, Commanding General, 25th Infantry Division, on the time he served as Commanding General of Combined Joint Task Force 76 in Afghanistan. He talks about the Afghan popular support for the Coalition; attacks, incidents and casualties; which direction the Afghan mission is taking; a future program called Reconciliation; the Coalition troop size and presence in Afghanistan; areas where attacks have decreased; the effects of allegations on the mission; the disciplinary action being taken on those who have abused detainees; the capturing of high-level Taliban leaders; reasons detainees are held; the anticipation of Taliban attacks rising in the spring; the Taliban leaders who have turned themselves in to the Allegiance Program; and signs for the end of insurgency.
