The Department of the Army announced its annual command sergeant major board for the Army Reserves in July.
After a number of sergeant majors turn in their packets, the list was cut down to 160 packets to be reviewed.
Out of those, 50 sergeants major made the final cut, and the 359th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade’s Sgt. Maj. John Schiffli, plans and operations sergeant major, was on that list.
“This is no surprise to anyone who knows Sgt. Maj. Schiffli,” said Col. Chris Kemp, commander, 359th TTSB. “He is the text book example of what a command sergeant major should be.”
