FARAH, Afghanistan — After the National Directorate of Security received a tip from local villagers, coalition forces discovered a significant weapons cache in Bala Baluk District, Farah province, Afghanistan, March 18.
The cache contained 3,400 kilograms of home-made explosives. The ammonium nitrate and incendiary material in the 34-100 kilogram bags was destroyed on Forward Operating Base Farah, March 19.
